If you missed out on tickets for either tour, or came to a concert and want to relive the experience, then you’ll be pleased to know that live recordings of our ‘Baltic Folk’ and ‘Waterworks’ performances are available online. The complete Wiesbaden ‘Baltic Folk’ concert can be found here, and go here for a recording of our Elbphilharmonie ‘Waterworks’ performance soon or here for the ‘Waterworks’ concert in Berlin recorded by ARTE (available in Germany only) . In addition, on 7 September German broadcaster ARD will feature a recording of the Hamburg concert as part of its Radio Festival 2017 (see here for details). For a taste of the Elbphilharmonie experience, find out what reviewer Robert Hugill wrote about the dress rehearsal and the evening’s performance. He was particularly impressed by the performance of Glass’s Violin Concerto No. 2: ‘Mikhail Simonyan was all the more impressive for the way his virtuosity was often delivered with understated elegance. He was finely partnered by Kristjan Järvi and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, with the young players giving Glass’s music a vivid intensity matching that of the soloist. This was music making of a high order.’
